Starting out as a consultant focussing on data and systems, I have ventured past risk modelling departments at banks, studied investment strategies at funds and helped corporates manage their intercompany funding. In my time at the company, there have been so many interesting and fun assignments that it is hard to keep track. Each new opportunity offered a different kind of challenge and a new group of people to work with. After all the detours, I have now ended up at the Solutions department where we develop cutting-edge SaaS products for our clients. I think that the common factors in all stories about working at Zanders would be that it is a great place to develop yourself. Both from a content point of view as well as a person in your working life. Everyone at the company is ambitious and there is a constant drive to improve from one year to the next. You might come in as an econometrics major or data scientist but there is always room to learn new tricks. This could mean managing a team of experts to deliver the important deadline at the end of a project, thinking of ten ways to form a discounting curve, or learning about networking, containers, Kubernetes, and REST API’s. For me the next challenge will be to grow the Solutions team from a few enthusiastic consultants into a mature and highly-productive software business. Along the way I encountered so many new things to learn about software development as well as marketing, sales, or recruitment that every day felt like the first day at school. This can be challenging, but nothing is as satisfying as looking back and just seeing how far you have come. The support of the many smart colleagues at Zanders has definitely made it worth-while. Studies: -Master Econometrics, Erasmus University Rotterdam. -Master Aerospace Engineering, Delft University of Technology.

I joined Zanders in 2016. After different roles in Corporate Treasury, I came across Zanders and started a career as a Consultant. I was a bit hesitant about Treasury Technologies even though I had been exposed to different systems before. I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it, but I was completely wrong. Four years later I can say that I have been involved in several Treasury Implementation projects in all different roles from design and implementation to leading projects. Here at Zanders I have been exposed to different systems and vendors as well as to many corporate clients, I worked with most of my colleagues in different countries and have had the opportunity create my own role as well as being part of two different teams: Zanders NL and Zanders UK I enjoy the working culture here at Zanders, the focus on work-life balance, the flat structure and approachable colleagues. When I joined, we were around 110 consultants. Now we are almost at 200. I am curious to see how the organization will evolve in the coming years and I am happy and excited to be a part of this process. Study: Bachelors in Banking and Finance and Masters in Banks and Capital Markets Finance

During my Masters in Mathematics, I started as an Analyst in 2012 at Zanders. I was looking for a job that put my education into practise so I visited student events to meet with companies that could offer such an experience. At ‘a recruitment fair where Zanders was present, I approached one of the recruiters for more information about the Analyst position. At Zanders there are many smart people who bring the knowledge they have into practice, and create pragmatic, clear solutions for their clients. Furthermore, working at Zanders means working with people from different cultural and geographic backgrounds, which adds something special. In 2019, Zanders provided me the opportunity to re-locate to open our office in Japan together with two other colleagues from the head office in The Netherlands. Together we are working on the expansion of our business in Asia for both Corporates and Financial Institutions. The move is an exciting challenge from both a business and a personal point of view. Study: Master Mathematics, University of Utrecht

At Zanders you gain exposure to different organizations, persons, processes, and systems, so you have a very steep learning curve as a young-graduate. This can be challenging but it is very rewarding. Additionally, there is an amazing work atmosphere, which prizes those who take the initiative. You are often individually challenged to develop a solution, but can always rely on the support of your colleagues.

At first, when I was approached by Zanders, I was a bit sceptical. I saw a consulting firm with big plans of expanding in the Nordic region but with no office and no full-time employees in the Nordic region. After meeting the different stakeholders and partners of Zanders, my mind was set. I felt confident in joining Zanders and help establishing their footprint in the Nordic. As of yet it has been an excellent decision. Although the office is small (but growing), partners and colleagues within the Zanders organization are never far away. I truly feel the commitment from Zanders to grow and stay within the Nordic and to deliver the best support possible to clients. Zanders is located all over the world, with colleagues from different backgrounds and walks of life.
