Your role:

Zanders is a leading consultancy specializing in treasury, risk, and finance. As part of the newly established CTO office, we are seeking a talented Software Engineer to develop and maintain the tools and applications that enhance our internal processes and systems. This is a newly created position, reporting directly to the CTO, offering an exciting opportunity to shape how technology drives efficiency across Zanders.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and scaling internal applications and interfaces that support Zanders' business operations. Working closely with business stakeholders and IT teams, you will ensure our custom software solutions are secure, efficient, and aligned with organizational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and optimize the backend of internal business process and knowledge applications using Python, deployed to Kubernetes clusters through CI/CD pipelines.
• System Integration: Build interfaces and extensions for our vendor systems, including operational, Finance, HR, and marketing platforms, using Python and JavaScript.
• Collaboration and Compliance: Liaise with our internal IT and infrastructure teams to ensure all custom applications and extensions adhere to Zanders' software development lifecycle guidelines and meet information security requirements.

Skills to be successful:

• At least 2 with a maximum of 5 years of experience as a backend engineer in a corporate environment, with expertise in Python.
• Proven ability to work proactively with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver well-architected solutions.
• Strong self-starter mindset, with the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively.
• Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and its frameworks for extending system interfaces.
• Familiarity with corporate IT environments, including system integrations and information security practices.
