Your role:

As a Product Engineer at Zanders, you bridge financial domain expertise and modern AI tooling to deliver product outcomes fast. You work closely with Product Owners and domain specialists to deeply understand what a feature needs to achieve in its business context — and then use AI-powered development to turn that understanding into working software, quickly.

You are an outcome driver. You know how financial products, workflows, and data behave in the real world, and you use that knowledge — combined with modern AI tools — to move from concept to near-final implementation with minimal handovers and short feedback loops. Our established engineering team supports and refines what you build, so you can focus on getting the right thing built, fast.

We expect you to work in a genuinely AI-first way: using AI tools throughout discovery, refinement, prototyping, development, testing, and documentation — while applying your own critical judgment to ensure what gets built is robust and fit for purpose.

Skills to be successful:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in software development, financial consulting, or a hybrid business–technology role.

• Strong affinity with financial domains such as treasury, banking, corporate finance, risk management, or fintech — you understand the business context behind the software you build.

• Proven ability to translate business needs into clear pragmatic solutions, with a focus on outcomes over technical elegance.

• Fluency with modern AI tools across the full development lifecycle — prototyping, coding, testing, and documentation — and the critical thinking to ensure quality.

• Hands-on development experience (preferably Python/FastAPI and Typescript/React) sufficient to independently implement and iterate on features.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance speed and long-term maintainability.

• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Zanders is a global financial consulting firm specializing in Treasury, Risk, and Technology. For the past six years, we have also been delivering specialized cloud solutions within our field of expertise, helping our clients operationally. The Solutions team has grown to 20+ FTE and operates as a SaaS organization. Our clients are based in various markets, ranging from large corporate clients to financial institutions. We have built and are servicing several applications on our own cloud platform. Our modern infrastructure currently consists of about 20 microservices, which are deployed to Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Services through Gitlab CI/CD pipelines and Helm.
