At Zanders, we are continuing to grow our Treasury Advisory Group (TAG) in Japan. We are looking to hire a Consultant at graduate or 1–2 years’ experience level to join our recognized treasury consulting team. This role is ideal for someone at the start of their professional journey who is eager to build expertise in corporate treasury, treasury technology, and advisory consulting in an international environment.
Your role
As a Consultant, you will work closely with experienced consultants and managers on treasury advisory and treasury technology projects for large multinational clients in Japan and internationally. You will be trained on the job, gradually taking on more responsibility as your skills develop.
You are curious, motivated, and keen to learn. You enjoy working in teams, interacting with clients, and building a strong foundation in treasury and financial technology.
Key responsibilities
Support clients with treasury advisory and treasury technology projects, including:
Analysis of current treasury processes and systems
Supporting treasury technology roadmaps
Vendor selection and implementation projects (TMS and related tools)
Assist in project execution, including:
Data analysis and documentation
Preparing client presentations and reports
Supporting day-to-day project activities
Work alongside senior team members on client meetings and workshops
Contribute to commercial and knowledge activities, such as:
Proposal and RFP support
Market research and benchmarking
Internal knowledge sharing and training sessions
Actively develop your knowledge of:
Treasury operations and processes
Treasury Management Systems and related technologies
Market and product developments in treasury and payments
Skills to be successful
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
(ACT, CFA, FRM or similar certifications are a plus, not required)0–2 years of experience in Corporate Treasury, Treasury Consulting, Finance, or Financial Technology
(internships and relevant graduate experience are valued)Interest in Treasury Management and Treasury Technology, including:
Treasury operations and cash management
Payments and bank connectivity
Treasury Management Systems (e.g. SAP, Kyriba, FIS, ION – exposure is a plus)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working in a client-facing, project-based environment
Fluency in Japanese and advanced English
Motivation to work in an international consulting environment and grow professionally
